        • Fran, this is basically your fats/oils. So, EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), coconut oil, nut and seed butters/oils (peanut, sesame, almond, etc.).

        • Hi Paige,
The number is referring to the number of containers you can have in a day. For example, if it says 3 under the purple container, you can consume 3 purple containers (fruit) each day.

          :) Sarah

          • Once your weight is calculated, how do you know how many containers of each color you can have in one day? I’m looking to purchase the containers – it seems very easy to follow – but want to make sure it is the best choice for me.

          • Hi Karen,
It’s pretty easy to determine with the Eating Plan book that comes with the containers. Based on the daily caloric intake you calculated in the equation, you’ll find your “range” on the chart, and that will tell you how much of each container you’ll need to eat each day (3 purple containers (fruit), 4 red containers (Protein), etc.).
I created an infographic that has been circulating around Pinterest. If you go to this search on Pinterest.com, you will see that infographic pop up :) Hope this helps!

      • Hi Corey,
Do you currently have the 21 Day Fix program, or the Portion Control Containers? You should have received the Eating Plan along with either of those items when you purchase through my Team Beachbody shop.

        Sarah

    • Hi i was wondering if I had to eat the recommended containers. I calculated and I am supposed to eat in the largest category, but will I lose weight if I used containers for 1400-1500? Awaiting your response.

    • Linda,
The colored containers come with the 21 Day Fix home fitness program, which you can purchase through my website. I am a Beachbody Coach, and sell their products.
You can go to my “Fitness Products” page and click the “Buy Now” link under 21 Day Fix. It will take you to the Team Beachbody shopping cart where you can purchase the 21 Day Fix program (and the colored containers). Currently, Beachbody does not sell the colored containers on their own :(
For just under $60, it’s totally worth it!

    • Hi Nabah,
There is a meal plan that comes with the 21 Day Fix program. I am a Team Beachbody Coach, and sell their fitness and nutrition products. You can visit my “Fitness Products” page to learn more about the 21 Day Fix program…it’s just under $60 for the 7 workouts (on 2 DVDs), the colored portion control containers, and the meal plan and recipe book. Trust me, it’s totally worth it!
You can also find a lot of great ideas on Pinterest. Be sure to follow my 21 Day Fix board on Pinterest too! ;D

    • Hi Tina, You can go to my Fitness Products page and click the “Buy Now” link. That will direct you to my Team Beachbody shopping cart. Thanks for stopping by my website, and I’d love to hear about how you like the program! :) Sarah

  1. I followed what ut says to figure out the calorie level but it keeps coming out with an amount larger than you have on the chart not sure math wise what I am doing wrong.

  2. Am I understanding this right–they calorie level is after you calculate it–this is what you need to lose weight right? The 400 calories in the calculation is what you plan to burn while working out right?

    • Yes, Kitty- you’re right on track. The 400 calories in the equation is to account for the calories you will burn from the 30 minute workout. What you need to do to lose weight is figure out your “target calories” from the equation, then look to the chart to figure out which level you fall into. When you figure that out, you need to stick to eating only that specific amount of each colored container on a daily basis. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions :) Sarah

  3. let me just be sure I understand this. 1664 calories so on the green container I have 4. does that mean 4 (1 cup) from the green list? I’m trying to understand how much in each container according to my numbers? Thank you so much

    • Yes, 4 slices of turkey bacon equals 1 red container. For the lowest level on the chart, you need 4 of those red containers each day. Enjoy your turkey bacon!

  4. Hi
What happens if it makes no sense after doing the calculations ( 247 lbs., 5’6″ female age 49….) the calories and servings seem off the charts ( and they are!)
    What should I do?
    Thanks

    • Margie, I would refer to the highest level on the chart, which is the 2,100-2,300 intake level. Start with that amount of containers each day, and when you start to lose weight, you will move down to the next level :)

  5. If the teaspoon is for oils, the orange : is salad dressing for salads or referring to mayo?
I’m trying to get under 1200 cal (170 lbs) per day

    • I would use the orange for salad dressings (recipes are listed in the eating plan book that comes with the program), as well as nuts/seeds. I wouldn’t worry so much about calorie counting- that’s the whole purpose of the containers. You just eat the correct about of containers each day, combined with the workouts, and you should be good to go!

    • Well, sort of, Marcy. In general, it’s not a good idea to consume food past 8pm, or at least a few hours before you plan to go to sleep. This will allow your stomach to properly digest the food you just ate. For the 21 Day Fix program, the idea is to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, with incorporating a snack in between breakfast and lunch, and another snack between lunch and dinner. Hope this helps!

  6. I am really interested in this program as well as 2 other family members, it looks really good. But I am tryings to stop eating pasta, breads, and diary and eat more fish and chicken and turkey, I am a new Type 1 diabetic and allowed 2 carbs per meal and 2- 1 carb snacks, will this program work for me.

    • Monica, yes- this program will work for you and your family. I think the 21 Day Fix will help you maintain your carb intake and help you get a better idea of portion sizes. The fitness program is really great- only 30 minutes for each workout, and the moves are super easy to follow. What a great thing it would be if you and your family went through a health and fitness program together! You could help keep each other accountable :)

    • Hi Lisa!
      You would be:
      185 x 11= 2035
      2035 + 400= 2435
      2435 – 750= 1685

Which means you would fall in the 1,500-1,799 calorie level for your daily intake.
      Thanks for stopping by!
      :) Sarah

  7. Why does the set come with two orange containers? On all the calorie levels you can only have one serving of orange, is that one in each container? This is very confusing!

    • That is a good question, Bettina! Not quite sure why Beachbody gives you two Oranges. Maybe because they are mostly used for salad dressings, so that you can keep one for later?
Is there anything else about the program that I can help make less confusing for you?

      :) Sarah

      • what if you don’t use dressing or alot of nuts?
I just use a squeeze of fresh lemon juice as dressing, and I try not too eat too much nuts beacuse i am sensitive to them.
what can could be used as a substitute in the orange container?

        • Hi Ezzie,
Lemon is great as a dressing! I love it on arugula ;D
That’s a great question…What about nut butters, like peanut or almond butter? What about making a vinaigrette, with balsamic and EVOO?

  8. Hi,
I think the containers are great, but do you happen to know the ounces per day allowed for protein & carbs….I can’t fit a chicken cutlet in the container….lol!

    Thanks!
    Michele

    • Hi Michele,
Not sure about the ounces, but here are the volumes for each container:
I believe the green and purple containers are both equal to 1 cup.
The yellow is equal to 1/2 cup.
The red is equal to 3/4 cup.
The blue is equal to 1/3 cup.
The orange is equal to 2 Tbsp.
And the spoon is equal to 1 tsp.

      Thanks for stopping by!
      :) Sarah

  9. If my calories is more the 2300, do I need the spread the 6 cups out in the day or could I eat 3 cup for lunch and the other 3 cup for dinner and in the protein do I need to eat 6x a day 3/4 or could I do 3 – 3/4 a day?

    • You’ve got the right idea, Belinda!
The 6 total cups per day should be spread out over the course of the day. It’s really ideal to eat a bunch of “mini meals” throughout the day.
      Thanks for stopping by!
      :) Sarah

  10. Hi,
What is the grams or volume of each container??? It would change according to each food item put in the container, right?? There would be some standard measurement of each of the food groups for the respective containers, as you’ve mentioned.

    Awaiting your reply.

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Zenia.

    • Not sure what the grams/volume is of each container.

      Hope this helps, Zenia!

  11. Hi Sarah, I’m thinking about trying this program. I have some specific questions. Do you have to do the shakeology? Because I am ok with $60 for the containers, the guidelines/recipes, the DVD’s, but I cant afford to do the shakes as an extra expense on top of that. What are the alternatives if you choose not to do the shake for the AM meal?
Also, I have counted my calories, drank the 80 ounces of water per day, kept the calorie count (Im in the 1200-1300 calorie per day group) omitted the carbs, dont drink any sort of soda, boiled eggs, almonds, lean meat for proteins, tons of fruits & veggies figured in my alcohol into calorie intake, which is a low carb light beer or a glass of red wine per week, counted it all out on the my fitness pal calorie counting app, AS WELL AS on paper with a time chart, and done Curves* faithfully – with limited results – *faithfully is meaning a solid 30 days without slacking off and *limited results means that I am pushing around the same dirty little 5 lb. – Im 43 years old and I am stuck, so I think this might be hormonal. Ive been to the doctor and had all the tests, including thyroid function studies, and it has nothing to do with my thyroid which is working 100% perfect. 5’2″ 145-150 lb. What do you recommend? Because I am stumped and discouraged! My goal is 135# which is a 15 lb weight loss total. Thanks in advance.

    • Hi Tammy,
No, you don’t have to purchase the Shakeology, but it does accelerate your results. I agree, it does seem like a big expense on top of the program; but, when you break it down, it comes out to a little over $4 a day.
It sounds like you are really diligent about keeping on track with your health and fitness! I think the next step is to look at portions, and the kind of exercise you are doing. At Curves, is it mostly cardio, or are you lifting weights too?
I would definitely try the 21 Day Fix program. I was surprised at my results. I have been able to drop all of my pregnancy weight, and then some, and continue to use the containers as a guide in my daily intake. The programs are a great mix of cardio and weights, as well as pilates and yoga.
Let me know if you have any other questions, Tammy!
Oh, and if you are ready to order, you can go here :) Sarah

  12. Curves is a 30-minute exercise circuit comprised of hydraulic resistance machines and bodyweight exercises, 15 minutes of the workout time is spent doing this, and the other 15 minutes is spent doing strength training/cardio if you do the Jillian Michaels DVD exercises along with the Curves circuit. Im still in the investigation phase. I took the before photo today, that should be motivation enough to stick to it! Trying to find some recipes of what to make from the grocery list at this point. Unbelievely, Im stumped on the carbs and seeds/dressings containers, I dont like anything on the list.

    • Crystal,
The lowest calorie level on the 21 Day Fix program is between 1,200-1,499 calories. So, If you are getting below 1,000 in your math, you bump up to the first level on the chart (1,200-1,499 calories a day). Hope that helps!

    • Juliana, thanks- you’re absolutely right!

  13. Please help me to understand the numbers under the cobtainers. Is that how many times a day i can eat from the cobtainers? Also. I found colored Ziploc bags that correspond with the cobtainers.

    Thanks

    • Yep, you got it Jennifer! So, if it says “3” under the purple container, that means you should eat 3 purple containers-worth of fruit in a day. I’ve seen those colored plastic bags. I’m sure they would be a big help in prepping food for work or on the go!
Thanks for stopping by my site! :) Sarah

    • Christina,
No, you don’t. But, it’s a good idea to not skip out on calories, especially when doing the workouts. It does turn out to be quite a lot of food, doesn’t it? ;D

    • Hi Lupita,
If you calculated 1905 calories, then you would be in the 1,800-2,099 level. Which means you can consume:
      (5) Green containers, (3) Purple containers, (5) Red containers, (4) Yellow containers, (1) Blue container, (1) Orange container, and (5) teaspoons
      Each day.
      Hope that helps!
      :) Sarah

  14. The containers are cute, but expensive; why bother to figure out calorie goal and then squeeze food into containers and count containers, instead of just weighing the food and record the calories?

    • You bring up a good point, Brenda.
I think either way- using the containers or weighing and recording- it’s work, but it’s making you more aware of what you are consuming and how much you are consuming.
I’m all in favor of people using whatever method works best for them!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
      :) Sarah

  15. I am trying to order containers from your site and input all data but cannot find the submit button. I purchased the entire kit in June but want spare containers only.

If I sign in at bottom as new customer, does it sign me up for something I do not want or do not want to pay for?

    • Hi Kathleen,
No, you definitely shouldn’t be signed up for something you don’t want to pay for. It basically creates a free Team Beachbody account for you, so that if you decide to order another product in the future, you can do so. It also links your purchase to me, and assigns me to you as your Team Beachbody Coach.
I will say, though, that with your free account, you do get access to some of the cool resources on the Team Beachbody site- like a recipe library, celebrity trainer tips, and online community forums. There’s also a fitness tracker called the WOWY SuperGym- when you track your workouts, you’ll be entered into Beachbody’s daily prize giveaways. Pretty cool!
Let me know if you have any other questions! I’m here to help :)

  16. Hi Sara would I be able to order the containers through you? I tried to do it already and I have to have an account?? Thank you!!!! :)

  17. Hi Cheri,
I haven’t used a shopping list, but I have seen a few floating around Pinterest. Pinterest is a great resource for 21 Day Fix recipes and meal ideas. I have a “21 Day Fix” Board I’ve been pinning to, you should check it out!
21 Day Fix Board on Pinterest

    • Yes, Lorene! You got it.
That means you’d be in the 2,100-2,300 tier for your daily intake.
Thanks for reaching out! Let me know if there’s any other questions you have :)

    • You shouldn’t eat much less than what’s indicated for your weight range, Lorene. If you are doing the fitness program, you will need the dense nutrition to keep your body happy. If you are going to eat less of any of the containers, go for the yellow or red. With the purple or green containers (fruits and veggies), it pays to eat the recommended amount daily.

  18. Hello
I was wondering if you order the containers only, if you are also given how many of these you are supposed to eat per day, or do you have to purchase something else to be given this information. thanks!

    • Hi Jessica!
Yes, you will be given the Nutritional Guide along with the containers, which gives you all the info you need!

      :) Sarah

  19. Hi can you buy the portion containers from Australia or do you ship internationally and if so how much would shipping cost to Australia 3805?
    Many thanks
    Sandra

  20. Hello,

I wanted to know if there is any type of marinade or sauce that can be used
on meat or chicken? Also, where can I find more recipes?

    Joan

    • Hi Joan,
There’s not a marinade or sauce recipe for the 21 Day Fix program, but fitness trainer Autumn Calabrese does include a few dressings- like a dijon vinaigrette (could be great on chicken!) and an asian citrus vinaigrette- as well as seasoning mixes, that could double as rubs for your meat. They are in the 21 Day Fix Eating Plan, but another REALLY great resource for all things 21 Day Fix is Pinterest. I have a Pinterest board dedicated to 21 Day fix recipes and meal ideas. Check it out! https://www.pinterest.com/srwfit/21-day-fix/

    • Hi Nicole,
Sorry for the really late response!
I would definitely say to speak with your OBGYN, or family doctor first. Bring in the nutritional info, or email it to them, so they can look it over. I’ve heard some women were told it’s ok, and some were not. When I asked my nutritionist during my second pregnancy, she said no.

      Hope this helps, and congrats!
      :) Sarah

  21. I have some questions concerning the calorie amounts/workouts due to medical concerns. I recently purchased the 21 day fix and am trying to plan to start tomorrow. I have had two spinal fusion surgeries and a shoulder surgery in the last year and after watching the videos have some concerns about being able to do even the modified exercises. I am supposed to be taking the 2300 calorie intake but not sure if I should go down to the next level or even two if I am not able to burn as many calories as 400 a day doing workout. Any suggestions?

    • Hi Michelle,
I would recommend talking with your doctor first about starting a fitness program like the 21 Day Fix. I’m not sure how long of a recovery period you need after having the procedures you’ve gone through.
If he/she gives you the green light to start the program, then you should stay at the 2300 calorie level and try to follow along with Kat, the modifier. You know your limits, so I wouldn’t push it too much.
But, first, please do talk with your doctor!
Take care, and sorry for my delay in response!
      :) Sarah

  22. Hey Sarah,
I was wondering what 2 slices of bread is considered for the starch container. It says I am aloud 2 yellow containers a day.

    • Hi Laura,
Good question- one slice of bread is equal to one yellow container. So, you would be using up your yellow containers for the day if you were to eat two slices of bread.
      :) Sarah

  23. Hi Sara
Ok here’s mu dumb question. I just purchased the 21 day containers and my intake comes upt to 1410.00 per day so I just follow the numbers under the colored containers as how much to allow and quanity per day correct? something so simple but still has questions thanks
    Jamie

    • Hi Jamie! Sorry for my delay in response.
Yep, you got it! Not a dumb question at all. It would suck if you started then found out you weren’t doing it correctly, so it’s good that you asked ahead of time :)
It really is pretty simple! You’ll get the hang of it in no time!
      Thanks for reaching out,
      Sarah

  24. I am a Beach Body Customer. I purchased Brazilan Butt Lift last summer. I would like to add the food containers portion control to my fitness program. Will this work?

    • Absolutely, Lametra!
Sounds like a great idea. Let me know if I can help answer any questions you might have about the containers :) Sarah

  25. Hi Sarah,

With the containers, do you chop/cut the food prior? For example if I was to put strawberries in a purple container, do I chop them first to fill it or do I put them in whole? Same with chicken. Do I chop/shred it first or put the entire chicken breast in as one piece?
    Thank you!

    • Hey Nicole,
Yes, I would chop all food first, and then put them in the container. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
Thanks for stopping by my site! Sarah

  26. Sarah-

I bought the program through qvc. I went to the bb website and signed up but it won’t assign me a coach, it keeps sending me to a page where u need to purchase a program. Any idea on how to get a coach? I have a few questions before my husband and I start on Monday.

  27. I have a question about turkey or ham slices. I got the fat free low sodium from the deli. The serving size says 6 slices but im not sure if it should be altered depending on how thick they were sliced (you know its never the same). Is there an oz weight that we should aim for?

    • Hi Nichole,
Thanks for reaching out! Well, if the deli is slicing the ham thick, then I would cut that amount in half. So, 1 red container would equal 3 slices. If the ham/turkey slices are pretty thin, then I would go with the 6 slices per red container. Hope this helps!
      :) Sarah

    • Hi Sherry,
Where did you buy the containers from? If you purchased them through Beachbody, you should have been sent the Eating Plan along with it.
Did they not include it in your shipment?

    • Hi Denise!
Good question…well, the 21 Day Fix program only really allows you to swap out two yellow containers for wine, and doesn’t say that vodka is allowed (or isn’t allowed). If I were to take a guess, I would say that vodka (and beer especially) are off limits during your program. Stick to the guide if you really want to see those results!
      :) Sarah

  28. Hi wondering what the tea spoon means ? & also my weight is 185 what do I fall under for calorie wise? & do I need to buy the shakeology in order for this to work?

    • Hi Jafeth,
The teaspoon means that you can only have a teaspoon of that food item- it mainly pertains to oils and nut butters.
At 185 you would fall into the 2nd level: 1,500-1,799 calories per day.
You don’t have to purchase Shakeology, but if you decided to, you would be accelerating your weight loss! Shakeology counts as a red container- I usually like to have it in the morning for my breakfast.
      Thanks for reaching out!
      Sarah

  29. Okay, according to your calculations I’m supposed to only eat 1,025 calories a day (I’m 125lbs). That’s just insane. I’d starve to death.

    • Hi Virginia,
You’re right- and we absolutely don’t want that! You would fall into the first calorie level. If your calculations bring you to a number below the ranges, you move to the closest one up (which would be 1,200-1,499 in your case). Likewise, if you fall above the highest range, you drop down to the next closest (2,100-2,300 calories per day) level.

  30. I just got my trial of 21 day fix today. Planning on starting tomorrow. But I am so lost on how many containers and how many meals I’m supposed to have in a day. I weigh about 175 and I’m 5’3 :( but I am excited to see the changes:)!!

    • Hi Laura,
I’m so sorry for my delay in response…I hope you were able to forge ahead with the program! How did it go for you? Did you figure out the portion control containers? Let me know if I can be of any assistance :) Sarah

  31. I just ordered the 21 day fix program and am trying to understand the program. I do not understand what the spoon stands for. On one of the answers it stands for teaspoons in the oils section, but I thought that was what the good fats container was for.

    • Hi Elizabeth,
Sorry for the delay in response!
The teaspoon is for oils and nut butters, and the orange container is for “good fats” like seeds and nuts, olives, unsweetened coconut, and the 21 Day Fix dressing recipes. Hope this clarifies things for you :)
      Sarah

  32. Hi. I was curious how many of each diff color container I could use just for breakfast…I normally drink shakeology (red cont.) but like to add fruit, veggies, coconut oil and chia seeds to my smoothie..is that OK or should I be spreading out my containers more evenly throughout the day?

Also would Ginger Root in ground or spice form…be a freebie like all the other spices?

    Thanks!

    • Hi Jillian,
Yeah, you kinda half to be careful, or at least a little more aware, of what you put in your Shakeology because all those things can add up! especially fruit and the coconut oil. I would maybe limit to just a fruit or veggie add, and spread the other things out over the course of the day.
And yep, I would count ginger root as a freebie :)
Thanks for reaching out! Hope it’s going well for you!
Which Shakeology flavor is your favorite?
      :) Sarah

      • Thanks for the advice Sarah. I agree that its better to spread the ingredients out more evenly throughout the day, I notice I’m more energized that way. And my favorite flavor Shakeology is the Vegan Chocolate because the flavor is extra dark chocolatey. :)

        Jillian

  33. Hi
I am diabetic (non insulin). I fall into the 1200-1500 calories. If the yellow container is 1/2 cup then it looks like I would be eating at least 1 1/2 carbs total each day. Is that right? I must eat every 3 hours (meal or snack due to medical reasons). I am restricting my carbs to keep my A1C numbers and weight down. I don’t exercise much right now, but if I ate 1 1/2C carbs daily, I would put on 20-30 pounds easily. So I don’t quite understand how a diabetic can be eating so many carbs on this diet, yet decrease their blood sugar A1C levels. Can you explain how this works? Does the additional exercise prevent the A1C from going up ?
    SM

    • Hi Sue,
These are all very good questions. The program is really meant to include both the fitness and the portion control. I’m definitely not a doctor, so I would highly advise reaching out to your doc and asking these questions. I’m guessing that it would be important for you to also do the fitness program if you are introducing more carbs into your diet than normal.
      Thanks for reaching out,
      Sarah

  34. For baked chicken breast, is there a smaller amount I should be using, or do I just use the red container full? It seems like a large serving of chicken. Thanks.

    • Hey Jessie,
Yep- That one red container goes a long way! It’s advised to chop up the chicken, and then fill the container :)
      Take care,
      Sarah

  35. Hi. I lost some of the containers an im trying to find out the measurements so maybe i can use other containers at home…. Can you help?

    Thanks,
    Thea

  36. hi sarah,
I bought the containers but I wanted to know how many of each containers I should eat a day. I run 7 to 10 miles a day and I weigh 116.2. Can you please help me. Thanks Megan

    • Hi Megan!
So it sounds like you are a pretty active girl already :) That’s awesome! I would say that you need to stick to the first level on the chart. No, you don’t need to weigh yourself everyday. You’re basically taking your starting weight on Day 1 of the program and using that to do your calculation (which is found in the Eating Plan book that comes with the containers). By Day 21, you should see a difference- and if the number changes when you decide to start a second round of the program, then you would re-calculate based on your weight at that point. Does that make sense? If not, shoot me a message via facebook (facebook.com/srwfit) or email me: sywuethrich@gmail.com. Hope this answers your questions!
      :) Sarah

    Thank you

  38. I am between 1200 to 1500 calories but can’t figure out the portion control. Can someone tell me how much I need to do each day? Thank you

  39. HI I have a question. I have PCOS and that makes me insulin resistant. I need to limit my sugars and carbs. Is it ok to cut back the yellow and purple containers by 1 for my weight group? Should I add any of the other to make up for it?

  40. Hi Sarah I get home every night from work and always see the infomercial for 21 day fix. I really want to do this but I can’t afford the program. I am I hopes that you might be able to help me out. I am curious to know what the exact measurements are of each container. Also how do I figure out how many calories I should intake and then how many of each container that will be? Also I have other exercise programs like hip hop abba and tae Bo boot camp. I am curious to know if I can get a list of approved foods for this program? I want to start changing my eating habits and really work towards a better me. But as I said before I just don’t have the money to invest in the whole program. But am curious to know if I can somehow make shift my own way of beginning it? If that makes sense.

Thank you for your help and support!
    Kara

  41. There are two orange containers but I’m allowed 1 per day on the chart. Since there are two containers, does that mean I can have one of dressing and one of seeds or is it actually just one?

  42. Hi,
I am waiting for my 21 day fix to arrive and i have some questions about the calorie intake/ container count.I am 170lbs so I fall into the 1500-17999. I have alot of weight to loose and want to tone and firm my muscles. Should I start witht the lower range of calories/container count , or do i wait until i loose a few punds and drop down then?

  43. Hello Sarah, I ordered the Beach Body portion control containers to go with the T25 workout but when I got the containers there was no directions on how to use them and what each color represents. How can I get this information now? Thanks

  44. Hi,

I’m a tad confused. It says I can have a glass of milk but need to sacrifice the yellow container. Yet it says I can have 1-2 cups a day of tea with milk – Do I fill the yellow container with milk for my teas or not – do I just have my 1-2 cups of teas with milk and not have to sacrifice anything? I am a bit of a coffee addict and have about 4 cups a day. :-)

    Thank you. Marti

  45. Hello!!

I did the calculations for the fix and am under all the calorie requirements. I’m a rather small person but am still looks to lose a little unhealthy weight by eating right. What would you suggest?

  46. Do I have to eat recommended containers? I am suppose to follow maximum containers but was wondering if I can eat from the 1400-1500 category and still lose weight. Is this possible?

  47. I make most everything from scratch…any thoughts as to what a TBS of flour would be equivalent to? It’s not nearly as much what would be in a slice of bread. Can I count it as 1/2 a yellow container?

  48. I’m looking at purchasing the portion control program. Within the book does it show how to figure the number of containers that I could have each day?

  49. Hi Sarah,

I recently just purchased the 21 day fix materials through Beach Body. As I was preparing my meals for the first time last night, I noticed the amount of carbs I will be eating is way more then I would consume normally. For example, I cooked a bag of brown rice & split it up into my 4 orange containers for throughout the day which is equivalent to an entire bag of rice. Does this seem like too many carbs? Also, is any type of salt allowed on this diet?

  50. Hi –
I weight about 95 and 4’10, when I did the calculation I was given 695 calorie intake. I want to lose a little weight and tone up. On the chart I didn’t see anything less than 1200 calories. Eating 1200 calories maybe too much for me since I am not a big person. How do I know how many of the containers of food I can consume? Thank you

  51. Hi – I am trying to figure out all the containers. I am in the lowest calorie bracket. If I am understanding correctly, I can have 4 red containers of protein a day and that just sounds like a lot.

  52. I have been using the containers religiously for a week and half, doing exactly the amount my calculations tell me. I have also been tracking my food on my fitbit to see the amount of calories I am taking in. According to the containers, I am suppose to have 1750 calories a day. When I put the food in my fitbit it says I have about 1300 calories (which is over what it says I need. It says I need 1200).

I am at a plateau I cannot break. My question is, should I ignore the calories and continue to rely entirely on the cups? If so, even after filling up the containers as told, I am still not loosing anything. I also walk a 1.5 to 2 miles a day and do arms and abs for 24 minutes a day.

Please help, I am so confused:)

  55. I received portion containers today but the Eating Plan Booklet was not included. In two other post, you said the booklets should be included. How do I obtain the Eating Plan book? My customer number is 17400153 & reference #79671092. Please help
    Chris

  56. Hi….I purchased the 21-day program. I just need to know what the “blue” container is for? Is it for dairy? Or healthy fats? What is the official title that the blue container is for? I am trying to label my containers so that I don’t have to pick up the book every single time. Can you please respond to my email? Thank you!

  57. Hello Sarah,
I own several bb workout programs that I’ve used in the past however, i’d really like to give 21 day fix a try because of the portion control. I am hesitant to do so since I’m nursing my 2 month old daughter & am afraid of losing my milk supply (despite having an over abundance). Will this program work for me considering that I am nursing? I am 5-1, 138. I’m not sure if in addition to adding the 400 calories burned working out I would add the 500 (give or take) that I burn just by nursing as well to find my target. Any clarification on this would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance! :)

  58. I just got your contained in today it didn’t come with a nutrition book any chance u can tell me we’re wearing to fund it? Also can u tell me on the portion I’m about 225 .

    Thanks
    Lisa

  59. Hi Sarah I purchased the containers but I have no idea of what I should do to get started I received nothing with the containers but instructions on how to keep or maintain to containers please help

  60. Hi. I just bought the 21 day fix program from amazon but it won’t be delivered until Monday and I wanted to start buying my foods, but I don’t know where pickels or olives would go in the containers so I am not sure if it will be worth it for me to get them. Can you tell me which color they go with?

And I think it is awesome that you take the time to help others out with this!

    Thanks
    Melinda

    • Pickles and olives are great choices for snacks. I would say pickles would fall under the green container. Olives would be the Orange container- 10 medium-sized olives for 1 Orange.
I’ve heard that people who buy the containers from Amazon don’t receive the Eating Plan book with it- which is almost just as important as the containers! I hope that’s not the case, but if you have any questions, let me know :)
      Sarah

  61. Hi Victor!
You can purchase just the containers from my “Fitness Programs” page.
Scroll down the page just a bit, and you will see the button to purchase- this will take you to my Team Beachbody shop.
The containers come with a Eating Plan/Nutrition Guide that gives you all the info regarding calorie levels.
    Hope this helps!
    :) Sarah
